Chronic inflammation sometimes called systemic inflammation is involved in osteoarthritis and autoimmune diseases, such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, allergies, asthma, inflammatory bowel disease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, lung issues, poor bone health, depression, and eye conditions.
We will discuss habitual or environmental factors, such as excess weight, poor diet, lack of exercise, stress, smoking, pollution, poor oral health and excessive alcohol consumption that can lead to chronic inflammation. Anti-inflammatory foods, fish oil, herbs and traditional Chinese formulas will be covered. Andrew will discuss the research he conducted on anti-inflammatory herbs at UCSF and Emory University. Clinical tips for treating clients with chronic inflammation, and the differences between standard fish oil and EPAQ™ krill oil will be presented.
