Health Concerns: Combining Modern Research & Ancient Wisdom

Webinar: Follow up - Treating Fibromyalgia with Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs

April 27, 2016 (9 - 10am)

It is estimated that five million Americans suffer from Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FM). FM is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues. Researchers believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain processes pain signals. Symptoms sometimes can begin after a physical trauma, surgery, infection or significant psychological stress. In other cases, symptoms gradually accumulate over time with no single triggering event.

While there is no cure for Fibromyalgia Syndrome, acupuncture and herbs can often help control symptoms with fewer side effects than pharmaceutical drugs. Join us for our webinar, Treating Fibromyalgia with Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs. Andrew Gaeddert will review key herbal approaches to treating this disorders. He will share what he has learned in his 30 years of practice, and what works in his clinic.

Topics include:

• Evaluating sleep and digestion during initial treatments
• Links between Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and how Chinese tonic herbs can be very helpful with FM patients
• How acupuncturists are treating FM
• Viable, and effective herbal alternatives to NSAIDs
