Several chronic medical conditions are common after menopause. They include cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, loss of concentration, memory loss, urinary incontinence, weight gain and increased abdominal fat. In this workshop, we discuss the importance of exercise, herbs and nutritional supplements. We look at issues around phytoestrogens, studies comparing popular weight loss programs and the latest research of calcium, vitamin D, fish oil, ginkgo, pomegranate, strontium, huperzine A, glycerylphosphorylcholine and phosphatidylserine.
